Thirty years after the death of King Presley Elvis, his daughter LISA Marie Presley will diffuse Friday on Internet a video in which it interprets “In The Ghetto” with her father.
To mark the 30e birthday of the disappearance of King, on August 16, 1977, the voice of LISA Marie was added to that of his/her father in the original version of 1969 of this enormous success. The video shows images of LISA Marie mixed with those of her father.
The Spinner.com site will thus diffuse to it video the transcription of an interview of LISA Marie. The benefit will be transferred with a foundation charged to build temporary dwellings for without shelter in New-Orleans.
“We had two hours to juxtapose my voice”, explains the girl of King in this interview. “Also the next morning, I understood the rough piece (…) I never cried over what I do, never; but there I could not retain me”.
“It is a rather pure piece. There is neither bell nor whistle, they (sound engineers) have right addition my voice with the master original”, specifies LISA Marie.
In this same interview, LISA Marie, 39 years, does not hide its anger to see that the song of his/her father “Viva Las Vegas” is used in a publicity for Viagra. “I find that revolting. We do not have any more any control on certain songs. I know that we did not grant an authorization for that one”.
Until 2005, LISA Marie Presley was the exclusive owner of the Companies Presley Elvis before it does not yield 85% of the shares of them to the company CKX, which controls from now on the marketing of the image and the name of King.
