Fashion icon, Kate Moss, has finally revealed her new designs for High Street chain Top Shop due to go on sale in stores May 1. The supermodel has chosen Canadian model, Irina Lazareanu to star alongside her in the line’s ad campaign - the first images of which were released last week. While the novelty of the rich and famous designing mass produced clothes may have worn off, Kate’s collection actually has a lot of runway appeal and is more high fashion than mainstream.
The collection consists of looks that are sexy and incredibly edgy, just like Kate herself. Moss told Vogue in an interview for the May issue that her line was inspired by her own wardrobe; the designs are classic Kate. Vogue even went so far as to feature Kate on the cover of the magazine wearing one of her low-end creations - a dress that retails for under $100.
Kate’s experience and influence within the fashion industry knows no bounds; she was very hands on in the creation of her clothing line, even going so far as to test drive each piece before it was able to be produced.
Not heading over to the U.K anytime soon? Never fear, her fashions will also be available for American buyers at Barneys in New York as of May 8.
