Jessica Simpson, Scarlett J, Lindsay Lohan, And All the Rest Show off in Gala Worthy Gowns

All the beautiful people made an appearance at the Costume Institute Gala at the MET in New York; the evening was a celebrity packed event with heavy doses of glamour.
One of the most fabulous fashion events of the year, the Costume Institute Gala saw fashion forward designs out in full force. Designers and celebrities sporting the visions they created, came together for an evening that celebrates everything decadant and fashionable.
There were some definite trends at the Gala this year; the clear winner being brightly colored frocks in a myriad of gorgeous colors.
While there was no shortage of luxurious, goddess inspired gowns, some Hollywood starlets chose to walk the red carpet in shorter dresses. They were flirty and just a bit sassy; the glam factor was kept alive with metallic fabric and glittering details.
And still other celebrities chose to flaunt their curves, making sure that all eyes were on them.
Best and Worst Dressed of the Evening:
I loved Christina Ricci’s look; she looked elegant and chic in this simple, yet sexy, stunning white sheath of a gown. And while I do applaud Kirsten Dunst for her adventurous fashion sense, this gown makes her look like she took the costume theme a little too literally.
