Barenaked Ladies frontman Ed Robertson survived a plane crash in Canada Sunday.
According to authorities, his private plane lost speed as it was trying to take off from a lake and went into the trees.
A friend said after the plane stalled, the pilot managed to set it straight down into the trees with its nose resting on the ground.
Ed does have his pilot’s license, but it’s not known if he was the one flying the plane.
A police spokesperson adds, “At 12:30 p.m. a Cessna 206 was taking off from Baptiste Lake, lost airspeed and entered a wooded area west of the lake.”
Robertson and three passengers were forced to evacuate through the windows and were shaken up, but not seriously injured.
The plane was totaled but all four adults managed to walk out of the woods and report the crash.
